Tuesday is the very last day of a poll for Russian-held areas of Ukraine which the authorities in Kyiv and its Western allies brush aside as a sham.

Nearly 4 million people from the japanese areas of Donetsk and Luhansk, and the southern areas of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, are being asked to wait polling stations and vote in so-called referendums on joining Russia.

This follows 4 days of early vote casting for the duration of which allegations of intimidation accelerated as election officials went residence to residence followed by using armed guards

The votes, referred to as with only some days' note, serve a lethal severe reason as they will be used by the Kremlin to legitimise its invasion targets.

If Russia absorbs those regions, making up approximately 15% of Ukraine's territory, it could take the battle to a brand new and greater dangerous level, with Moscow portraying any strive by using Ukraine to regain them as an attack on its sovereign territory
